Solar Flare Cyanotype Workshop

(Ages 6-9) 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Do you have a creative flare or an interest in the science of nature photography? Then why not come and learn art and chemistry of cyanotype – one of history’s first photographic processes that is driven by our very own sun! Through games and activities, kids will have fun learning the science behind this process and will go home with a framed fabric cyanotype that they designed and created by themselves.
**In case of heavy clouds or rain, we will substitute another natural photosensitive process.
Solar Flare Cyanotype Workshop
Location: 20 East Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475 (right next to theTurkey Hill gas station).
Parents may park in the lot between the Spring City Mill Studio and the Turkey Hill. Jolie will meet class participants at the studio 100 front door located directly on Bridge Street at Spring City Mill Studios.
What to Bring: A short portion of each day may be spent making discoveries outdoors on the Schuylkill River Trail and/or nearby Riverfront Park in Royersford – even if it’s drizzling. Participants should come ready for adventure and art with outdoor clothes and close-toed shoes.
