“A good planet is hard to find” and I feel fortunate to be on this amazing sphere exploring many fantastic intersections of art and Earth! In my studio, open for anyone who is interested, I love creating artwork that I hope will serve as a common ground for sharing in human wonder for our environment. I also strive to learn from the perspective of others as we generate conversations about the ways we can live lightly while learning about and caring for our natural world.

Drop by and explore the intersection of art and nature at Jolie Chylack Studio during the upcoming open house dates on July 10th and 11th! Kids and adults of all ages are invited to explore the studio up-close and make a little art while discovering some of summer’s most magical natural curiosities. This event is FREE and complimentary nature snacks will also be served.

Solar Flare Cyanotype Workshop
August 12th:
(Ages 6-9) 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
(Ages 10-12) 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM
$40 per workshop
Do you have a creative flare or an interest in the science of nature photography? Then why not come and learn art and chemistry of cyanotype – one of history’s first photographic processes that is driven by our very own sun! Through games and activities, kids will have fun learning the science behind this process and will go home with a framed fabric cyanotype that they designed and created by themselves.
*In case of heavy clouds or rain, we will substitute another natural photosensitive process.
