Host your Child's Next Birthday at the Studio

HOST YOUR CHILDS NEXT BIRTHDAY EVENT AT THE STUDIO:

THIS IS AN ECO-FRIENDLY CELEBRATION AND ALL YOU NEED TO BRING

ARE DRINKS AND FOOD!

Each Party Includes A Science Activity or hike, a visit with a live animal, and an art project to take home. Please chose from the following themes:

"This Birthday is For the Birds"

"Birthday Splash"

"Nature's Artists"

Thursdays after school or third Saturdays April, May and June

Please review the details of the session offerings below and then:

 

  1. Register for classes below by clicking the link to purchase your desired session in the Shop. Spaces are limited and the class sizes are small. Please register today!

   2.  One week prior to class,   A confirmation note will be emailed with necessary

         information.

   3.  Note that for some classes, a portion of time might be spent making discoveries outside at a

          location such as the Schuylkill River Trail, nearby Waterfront Park in Royersford, even if it's      

          drizzling. Participants should  come ready for adventure and art with outdoor clothes, a hat, a

          H20 bottle, a snack, and  a pair of close-toed shoes.

   4.   All class sales are non-refundable, however If students are unable to attend, tuition may be

          applied to a  future class.

DISCOVER THE ART AND SCIENCE OF SPRING IN THE
FOREST, CREEK, POND, MEADOW AND RIVER!

Dates:  Tuesdays and Wednesdays 

             10 Classes in April,  May and June

Ages:    7 - 9  (Tuesdays)

              10 - 12 (Wednesdays)

Time:    4:30 - 6 PM

Group classes are limited to 12 students   

 

 

 

 

What are the secrets of tracking and tracing animals in spring? What incredible microscopic and macroscopic creatures inhabit our forests, meadows ponds and creeks?  What amazing, magical roles do trees, flowers and other plant life play in our ecosystem? Spring explorations – everything from moss to salamanders and kingfishers to sycamores - are on our mind here at the Jolie’s Curiosity Studio where art and nature intersect! Unplug after school and  through hikes, games, experiments, stories, and field journaling and art projects, we’ll observe and investigate the cool science, art and ecology of the spring season.

 

Please bring a snack and reusable water bottle, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather because each week includes short exploration hikes outside.

 *this club includes a FREE hardcover nature journal and art kit for each first time participant

Join Jolie in the studio for this unique art and nature club that cultivates curiosity and love of the winter outdoor world in your budding young naturalist! During each class the kids will enjoy a story, activity and project related to the day’s nature theme. This season we will learn all about all things spring. From tadpoles to bird calls to "tree spirits" we'll have a magical time exploring the art of spring.  Please come dressed ready to go outside.

 *this club includes a FREE  nature journal and art and nature exploration kit

NATIVE PLANTS OF SPRING

WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP MINI-SERIES FOR TEENS AND ADULTS

Date:  2nd Wednesdays March, April, May

           and June (3/12, 4/9, 5/14, and 6/11)

Ages: 13 - 100

Time: 9:30 - noon

Group Class Sizes are limited to 4 students    


 

Nature is full of botanical surprises – each month of the year! From February through June of 2025, we’ll explore the new “spring bloom of the month” by hiking to see it in its natural environment and then returning to the studio to learn more about its natural history and how to paint it! This miniseries includes all art supplies and instruction needed to create your own spring botanical watercolor collection. *Those who wish not to hike may meet us at the studio for the painting session only during which a cup of complimentary tea and cookies will be served. Hikes depart from Jolie Chylack Studio at Spring City Mill Studios. Transportation (to far afield hiking locations ) in Jolie's Jeep is included.
